Freshman Choir

  Full Year: 1/2 credit per semester  

Open to all freshmen

This is a full-year academic course focusing on good musicianship through the performance of a wide variety of musical styles.  Begins with SAB voicing.  In addition to performance expectations, students will also study introductory music theory, sight-singing techniques, and music history.  Attendance at performances is mandatory and considered as part of the basic course requirements. 

During the school year, students will be participating in the following performances and contests:

Fall Concert

Winter Concert

IHSA Organizational Contest

IHSA Solo and Ensemble Contest and Concert

Spring Pops Concert
