It's officially Show Choir Season!!! We
wanted to get some updates out to all of the students and parents.
We will be at the Milburn Campus tonight at 6:30 if you some artistic skills and are willing to help paint backdrops.
We will need a crew of 3-4 adults that will plan on being at the Crete Monee Competition (1/24) that are will to help set up and tear down the backdrop &
set pieces at competition. We literally only have a few minutes to get it up and to get it down, or the students will have points taken off the performance score. Please respond to this email or to
Tim Mueller at email@example.com if you are willing to help. You will still be able to watch your student perform if you help out with
Reminder- All students are required to get at least one $25 sponsor for the competition.
We encourage the students to find someone other than their parents to provide the sponsorship. Any sponsorship of at least $50 is provided with ad/shout out space
in the event program. Sponsorship materials are attached if you need them and MUST be turned in by Thursday, 1/15
either in choir class or rehearsal.
Reminder- All students must be present all weekend for the competition. We set up on Friday evening starting at 6PM, and it usually lasts a couple of hours. We tear down on Sunday afternoon, starting at 2PM. This typically doesn't take more than an
hour to an hour and a half. We ask that parents help out with either set up or tear down and work at least one
shift during the competition day. Competition day is LONG- we start at 6AM and will likely be there through 10PM. It is very important that
we have your support, as this single weekend event is what makes this program self sustaining.
A link will be provided later this week to the sign-up genius page where you can register to work and donate items that are needed for the event.
We will have a Preview Night on Tuesday, January 20th at 7PM in the Milburn Auditorium. Both Innovations and Great Expectations will be performing their
competition shows before they head to Crete Monee on Friday, 1/23. We would love a packed a house- please invite your friends and family.
