Schedule for remainder of the year
January 20- 10-1 with Lunch to follow(optional) - finish cleaning Raise You Up. Continue choreography and blocking for Astronaut and I Don’t. Wanna Be.
January 27- 6-9 Block and choreograph the ballad. Review all other songs.
February 3- 6-9 Clean.
February 10- 6-9 Clean.
February 14- 15 this is a long weekend where we were supposed to host OTown Showdown. I’d like to make use of the time to really solidify our show. February 14 I’d like to do 10-1. Saturday I’d like to do 10-1, 2-6.
With band 2-6.
February 17- 6-9 Clean.
February 24- 6-9 with band
March 2- 6-9 with band
March 9- this is our last Monday before our competition at Quincy. 6-9 costume run with band.
March 13- this is a Friday. I’d love to run the show one more time before competition. Time tbd.
March 14- Quincy Showcase of Excellence. This is usually a long day with possible finals happening late at night.
March 16- 6-9 no costumes. Debrief from Quincy and fix anything before St. Louis. Also we will rehearse for the benefit.
March 21- Zonta fundraiser performance at St. Clair Country Club. We will be doing parts of our show and I will be inviting some to do solos. Perform from 8-8:30.
March 23- no show choir.
March 30- 6-9. We will be prepping for competition.
April 4- Show Choir Select competition at the Stiefel in St. Louis. We will not take buses to this event because it is close enough for parents to drop off.
April 18- Spring Sing at Milburn. We host this end of the year concert every year. This year we will be having the Junior High Show Choir perform as well. We will perform our show and I will audition other acts as well to fill the time. I’d like to have a food component to this event so if you’re interested in heading it up, let me know.
Things to be picking up as we near competition/performance time.
Girls- black tights. Can be patterned or opaque. Your choice!
Travel wear- show shirt and whatever you’d like on bottom as long as it’s not pajama pants.
Makeup/hair- we will discuss this soon and give you pics and ideas.
Parents- if you’re interested in chaperoning either competition, please let me know so I can get everything ok’d by admin.

OTHS show choir has been in existence since the early 1960s. This extracurricular choir serves as representatives for a large choral program at O’Fallon Township High School. It is the goal of the show choir to provide the highest quality of vocal music education and dance experience for its members, and to provide each student with a dedicated and cooperative learning environment. Great Expectations show choir competes in the Spring and consistently wins awards and recognition in the process.
We welcome Jamie Eros back to OTHS to direct Great Expectations and are thrilled to have her bringing new energy into our show choir.
